Live in North London?

On Saturday 4th July 1.30 – 3.30, I'll be at King Henry's Walk Garden, N1

There is no better way to enjoy and observe nature than by drawing it. Using plants from the garden, learn how to make monoprints that explore where drawing and printmaking come together.  We will get out into the garden and use the plants to draw and print from, exploring mark-making, line and shape. All materials provided, bring an apron or old t-shirt.

Friday 3 July, 7-9pm

Studio member Sophie Le Bourva will talk about the importance of materials and techniques in her work and how her scientific education relates and influences her printingmaking passion. Join us for the last talk before the summer break, to gain more insight into what makes an artist print!

Free event.

A very exciting day in the studio yesterday, exploring drypoint on acrylic, using sandpaper to create marks as well as traditional drypoint techniques. Then lots of experiments with colour and a la poupee method, where you can ink the same plate in multiple colours. That's it for our courses for the Summer now- next ones coming up from September. Please see our Courses page for more details. Course details are here
